My name is Lauren Hards and i am 20 years old. I am currently living in Newmarket which is in Suffolk. I have a rare type of leukaemia called CHRONIC MYELOID LEUKAEMIA. I was diagnosed with the disease in September 2008, however I recently found out that I am going to have a Bone Marrow Transplant at the end of 2010. I am doing this blog so people can follow me through the transplant and to try and get more people to donate bone marrow.

PLEASE BECOME A FOLLOWER
i have changed the comment settings so that anyone can leave a comment on here. i did not realise that only people with a google or yahoo email addy could until Tom and my Mum were telling me so i am hoping for more comments and follwoers now as i assume anyone can be a follower aswel now that i have changed it, i woild like lots of comments so i can see just how many people are following me so please comment or becoime a follower and lets raise awareness and get more bone marrower doners so that people don't die of blood diseases but have a chance of a new life! check out the Anthony Nolan website for more info on how to become a donor or how to become a volunteer to get other people to become a donor, all you have to do next time you give blood is to ask to be tested to see if your bone marrow match for someone.

Why dont you use twitter to advertise your blog.
ReplyDeleteHello Lauren, I don`t know you and only know Tom through the Betfair forum, but having read your blog I realise how myself and many others are totally oblivious to the fact that you and others like you are reliant on bone marrow donor`s to secure your future. I admire what you are doing trying to make people aware of this problem and it must be working or I would`nt be writing this. I intend to see if I am able to donate in the near future. Best Wishes Derek
